ETL – Extract, transform and load data

ETL is extraction, transformation and loading of data. The requisites of a good data warehouse are that the business needs have been identified, the source systems analyzed and a data model has been developed. Once all these prerequisites are met, one can begin to look at extracting, transforming and loading of the data which are essential in accomplishment of a good data warehousing project.
